First place is occupied by the textbook "Pharmacology" by D.A. Kharkevich. In 2025, the staff of the Educational Literature Department recorded 425 book loans.

Over 43 years, the textbook has gone through 13 editions, including publications in foreign languages!

Much like his "brainchild," Dmitry Aleksandrovich Kharkevich lived a long (97 years!) life dedicated to science. The scientist studied the relationship between the structure and physiological activity of various groups of chemical compounds, as well as the creation and introduction of new drugs into medical practice.

Second place was awarded by PIMU students to the textbook "Hygiene" published by a team of authors under the editorship of Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences G.I. Rumyantsev.

For over 20 years, it has been used by students of all medical universities in Russia and a number of CIS countries. It is also used in non-medical universities where "hygiene" is studied as a non-core discipline. Cleanliness, as they say, is the key to health!

Throughout the year, the textbook was loaned out 301 times.

The honorable third place and the bronze medal go to the textbook "Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases" by authors N.A. Mukhin and V.S. Moiseev.

Studying the fundamentals of diagnostics and acquiring patient examination skills forms clinical thinking, which is so essential for a true professional and successful treatment!

In 2025, this textbook was loaned to our students 251 times, and the shelves allocated for these editions were always empty and constantly required dusting. How wonderful it is when the shelves gather dust, not the books! This is the dream of any librarian!
